Talleres de música tradicional con Joel Cruz Castellanos. De Agosto 26 al 29, 2014 // Traditional music workshops with Joel Cruz Castellanos from August 26th-29th, 2014

Somos muy afortunados de tener talleres especiales con Joel Cruz Castellanos (de Los Cojolites), visitando de Los Tuxtlas, Veracruz. Los talleres se darán en el kiosko afuera de El Centro de la Raza en Beacon Hill. Los dias: martes 26, jueves 28 y viernes 29 de agosto de 6:30pm a 8:30pm. Donación sugerida $10. Todos los fondos recaudados se darán a Joel para apoyar su trabajo.

We are so fortunate to be able to have special workshops with Joel Cruz Castellanos (from Los Cojolites), visiting from Los Tuxtlas, Veracruz. Workshops will take place in the gazebo outside El Centro de la Raza in Beacon Hill. Tuesday the 26th, Thursday the 28th, and Friday the 29th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Suggested donation of $10. All funds raised will go to Joel to support his work.

Para todas la edades y todos los niveles. ¡No olviden traer zapatos o botas para zapatear!

All ages welcome, no previous experience necessary. Don’t forget to bring shoes or boots to dance in–anything than makes a sound is great! We hope you can come!

***Miércoles 27: El taller se llevará a cabo en Ballard Commons Park (22 Ave NW entre NW 57 y 58 St) de 6:30pm a 8:30pm. A las 9pm seguirá en el café Señor Moose en Ballard (a unas cuadras en 5242 Leary Ave NW) una presentación del grupo Ampersan mezclando Son Jarocho y música alternativa, para después concluir con un fandanguero.

Wednesday the 27th the workshop will be at Ballard Commons Park (22nd Ave NW between NW 57th and 58th St) from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. Following the workshop at Señor Moose Café in Ballard (a few blocks away at 5242 Leary Ave NW) will be a performance by the musical group Ampersan mixing Son Jarocho and alternative music, followed by a small fandango.
