Traditional music workshops with Joel Cruz Castellanos. From August 26 to 29, 2014.

We are very fortunate to have special workshops with Joel Cruz Castellanos (of Los Cojolites), visiting from Los Tuxtlas, Veracruz. The workshops will be held at the kiosk outside El Centro de la Raza in Beacon Hill. The days: Tuesday 26, Thursday 28 and Friday 29 August from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Suggested donation $10. All funds raised will be given to Joel to support his work.

For all ages and all levels. Don’t forget to bring shoes or boots to tap!

***Wednesday 27: The workshop will be held at Ballard Commons Park (22 Ave NW between NW 57 and 58 St) from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. At 9pm, at the Señor Moose café in Ballard (a few blocks away at 5242 Leary Ave NW), a presentation by the group Ampersan will follow, mixing Son Jarocho and alternative music, to conclude with a fandanguero.
