Dear family of MORE:

Spring has arrived and with it the closing of our fiscal year and the beginning of a new stage for MÁS. First of all I want to thank all the people, participants, teachers, volunteers and organizations that supported us throughout the 2015-2016 year and contributed to the success of our events throughout the year, including the Afro-Latino Art and Education Season. We have just delivered the final report to the City of Seattle Neighborhood Department and I must say that it has been truly overwhelming to see the results and effects of this labor of love. We have witnessed and heard many voices express processes of healing, of discovery, of cultural reaffirmation. We have seen the birth of new connections, new paths, new projects and new alliances. Pay attention! Very soon we will have a celebration in which we will share with all of you these stories and much MORE.

MÁS is now preparing for a series of events that will continue to strengthen our organization and our communities. That is why it is important for us to reiterate over and over again our strong desire to include your ideas, interests and opinions in every step we take. We invite you to communicate with us and better yet, to actively participate in the planning of our activities. Let’s be MORE!

Finally, MÁS, above all, wants to serve our communities. Please remember that we have some materials freely available for use by our community (for example, stereos, musical instruments, and skirts). Likewise, please always keep us informed of other activities in which we can support, spread and of course, participate!
