Pablo has taken his love for computers to the City of Seattle as a Web Producer where he uses his technical skills to help the government connect to its residents. While his daytime persona is one in the technology field his true passion happens when he is off the clock where he devotes his time to his community, family, and friends. Born in the foothills of the Andean mountains his family fled his country of Chile when he was a child. As refugees, his family learned quickly the struggles of new immigrants to Seattle. With the help of organizations like El Centro de la Raza, the Greater Church Council of Seattle, and from the strength of his fellow Chilean refugee families; his family was able to make it but these events also helped shape him and more importantly showed him the meaning of community. As an adult Pablo learned that long ago his African ancestors were brought to the coast of northern Chile as slaves to work on the sugarcane and cotton plantations. These events have brought him full circle as an adult where he spends his time giving back by volunteering with various community organizations; as a board member with El Centro de la Raza, Movimiento AfroLatino Seattle (MAS), a board co-chair with La Barra Fuerza Verde and a dancer with Los Rebeldes de la Cueca. Each organization contributes selflessly to reach out to the community.
