Christopher German, MSc (Them/Him) is an educator and artist from the Hilltop neighborhood of Tacoma, WA. In 2014 they graduated from the Evergreen State College earning a Bachelor’s of Arts in Post-Colonial Literature with a focus on Latin America, the Caribbean, and Sub-Saharan Africa. After completing fieldwork in Brazil, and Argentina. Christopher relocated to Portland to earn a Master’s of Science in Global Health from the National University of Natural Medicine; gaining experience working abroad in Nicaragua, and Tanzania. Christopher has been a student at the Union Cultural Center since 2013, and enjoys organizing cultural events, and using Afro-Diaspora artforms to educate the community. Christopher helped Milvia co-create the Conectandonos MAS program and is passionate about cultural arts education and learning in collaboration with youth. In their spare time Christopher enjoys training Capoeira Angola, playing Bata drums, being outdoors and spending time with their family.
