Singing to heal

Home MÁS WorkshopsSinging to heal

Embrace your roots using your voice

Voice is the tool of soul

Concept

Identify, order and reconcile with the different nuances of the voice, feeling and soul. The only thing that can silence us is fear. Dispelling it by giving a new order to the rest of the sensations can help us work on it and transform it. Throughout history our people have used singing as a shield and strength to defend our ancestral legacy.

Black Mama

I live in constant search, discovering my musical roots and my Afro ancestry. In addition to a prevailing need to tell the stories that mark me. I managed to find in social protest and Rap my own style to verbalize feelings and make realities visible.
I am a rapper from Esmeraldas (Ecuador), I start realizing that raising your voice in many contexts is not allowed. With my staging I seek to share an important message for society, but above all for women. Through my music I share a story of struggle.
My new work is in the process of research to continue telling stories that go through us, venturing into different black rhythms and appealing to the freedom of the body.
