The “TUMI USA Award” awards are intended for the Peruvian diaspora in the United States and seek to recognize Peruvians who have excelled in their professional career, volunteer service to the community and for contributions to development and social welfare. On September 24, 2016, in the twenty-first edition of the “Peruvian Oscar Award” Mónica Rojas, executive director of MÁS, was awarded a TUMI USA Award in the “Professional of the Year by the State of Washington” category.

In the words of our Executive Director: “With infinite humility I need to thank Excelencia Tumiusa for having given me the immense honor of seeing me among so many Peruvians of real excellence, successful, working tirelessly to build a better world… I have never felt more proud of being Peruvian. I feel deeply inspired to continue working and carrying the name of my country very high.”
