As part of MÁS intention to become a stronger, self-sustaining non-for-profit organization, MÁS members registered to be part of the 2019 NAC (Nonprofit Assistance Center, now Communities RISE) cohort to grow our capacity. For 9 months, we were guided through capacity assessment and discussed organizational challenges and solutions through peer discussion.   This workshop allowed us to identify our strengths and weaknesses, help us to structure an efficient board of directors, establish a financial system, as well as help us to identify what are the legal steps we need to take to be in a good standard as a nonprofit.

We are participating one more time in the current 2020 year Community Rise Cohort.
