Centering Black, Afro, and Afro-indigenous voices. <\/strong><\/h4>\n

On Tuesday, November 12, we begin our broadcast of, what we could consider, a second stage of M\u00c1S Conversaciones para M\u00c1S orgullo (More conversations for more pride): A podcast where we use the power of orality, music, and soundscapes to extend our reflections against structural racism, celebrate our identity, and above all, continue in this exercise of community building.<\/p>\n

The episodes will premiere every other Tuesday starting this Tuesday, November 12: 2:00 pm (Seattle), 6:00 pm, and 5:00 pm, and 4:00 pm. They are currently available on Spotify<\/a> and Deezer<\/a>. People who are in Venezuela; or do not have premium plans; or speak English or Portuguese will be able to access the chapters with subtitles on Youtube<\/a>. It will soon also be available on the iTunes and Amazon Music platforms.<\/p>\n

Who are part of M\u00c1S podcast<\/h4>\n

Creating and weaving this podcast has been a process that has taken us several months and several hands to reach the production of our first season guided by the production of @DeLaVozLab. The structure of the scripts of each of the episodes are the result of a collaborative work, so we thank: Milvia Pacheco Salvatierra, Rayza De La Hoz Perez, Meyby Ugueto-Ponce, Hayde\u00e9 Lavariega, Evelyne Laurent Perrault, Minox Minoty, Gemaly Padua Uscanga, Ana Gabriela Cano\/Blackmama, Delia Pinto and Anyel Duran.<\/p>\n

The soundscape of M\u00c1S podcast is composed of two original tracks from MAS. Oralidades que sanan by Rio Arriba Producciones. A beat that accompanied us during the process of recovering from the pandemic in our program: M\u00e1s Versadas. And the Eslab\u00f3n, a collective effort of the M\u00c1S community of artists. A true braiding of the contribution of artists from different origins, teachers and teachers in different Afro-diasporic rhythms. It was recorded in Seattle Washington at the home of each of the musicians during the 2020 quarantine and mixed, edited and mastered by Omar Rojas in Lima Peru. <\/p>\n
