{"id":6018,"date":"2023-03-30T08:58:25","date_gmt":"2023-03-30T15:58:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/movimientoafrolatino.org\/2023\/03\/30\/presentation-of-the-fanzine-torcer-las-palabras\/"},"modified":"2023-03-30T09:22:32","modified_gmt":"2023-03-30T16:22:32","slug":"presentation-of-the-fanzine-torcer-las-palabras","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/movimientoafrolatino.org\/en\/2023\/03\/30\/presentation-of-the-fanzine-torcer-las-palabras\/","title":{"rendered":"Presentation of the Fanzine &#8220;Torcer las palabras&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\">[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\r\n<p>This April 04 we present to our community the digital Fanzine &#8220;Torcer las palabras&#8221; (bending the words), the fruit of the first workshop of the year: <a href=\"https:\/\/movimientoafrolatino.org\/mas-talleres\/metresas\/\">metresas, and imaginary dissidents to coloniality.<\/a> In this workshop, we connected Johan Mijail, a Dominican Republic writer, with people black\/afro-descendant LGBTQIA+ from different corners in a virtual encounter to open themselves from the &#8220;I&#8221;, situated on an antiracist and decolonial approach. The creation and presentation of this fanzine, in alliance with Cantiga Ediciones, is a vehicle to share and continue the conversation with the community of M\u00c1S.<\/p>\r\n<p>\r\n\r\n\u201cTorcer las palabras\u201d (bending the words) is, also, a strategy to continue the conversations we held in the 5th series of M\u00e1s conversaciones para m\u00e1s orgullo (More conversations for more pride) (<a href=\"https:\/\/movimientoafrolatino.org\/programas\/mas-conversaciones\/\">Watch the series<\/a>). Participants created autobiographical pieces, related to their connection with gender expansion and healing as kin of the Afro and Indigenous diaspora.
