We are pleased to invite you to participate in this space where the objective will be to have a conversation about community organizing in the diaspora beginning with food sovereignty.<\/p>\n

Mireya Pe\u00f1a, social worker, cooperative member, writer, singer, cook, mother and grandmother of the ‘Unidos San Agust\u00edn Convive’ cooperative in Caracas, Venezuela, and Julio C\u00e9sar Rodr\u00edguez Castell\u00f3n of the ‘Colombia Joven’ organization that works with youth and children around organizing and community will join us for this conversation. Is a Social Recreator, who currently coordinates the Youth organization in the Colombia Joven Corporation. Regional Promoter in the North of Cauca with the Corporaci\u00f3n Grupo Semillas de Bogot\u00e1 in coordination with FIAN Colombia with a project on The Human Right to Food in children and adolescents in the North of Cauca and Corcovado Bol\u00edvar. Human rights activist and Conscientious Objector officially declared in 2008. With 25 years of experience in community and social work.
\n\u201cWe are working on the Huma Right to Food Issue, in the rescue and conservation of native seeds\u201d promoting seed custodians and seed stocks. Promoting farmer’s markets and trueques, we are raising awareness in scholar spaces about the need for healthier scholar shops: more food and fewer groceries. We are motivating the creation of an afro-alimentary corridor that gives answers to food shortages in the territory and strengthen alimentary sovereignty in Afro communities to the North of Cauca.<\/h5>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
