This workshop featured Gustavo Ovalles, a renowned Venezuelan musician known as Omo A\u00f1a (son of the drum). He has been a member of many renowned Venezuelan research and music groups such as La Trapatiesta, Mina, La parranda de San Benito, has performed on prestigious stages such as Carnegie Hall and has participated in several international festivals in Canada, Holland, Senegal, Tokyo. among others. The workshop focused on two instruments &#8220;maracas&#8221; and &#8220;quitiplas&#8221;. Quitipl\u00e1s are hollow bamboo sticks that are played by hitting the ground. Experienced musicians from the community, as well as community members with no musical experience, adults and children participated in this workshop.
