We build relationships and collaborate with local Afro and Indigenous artists to host in-person and virtual workshops. All workshops are free to the public with live, simultaneous language interpretation. The central idea of the workshop is to find in textual production a possibility of inventing critical imaginations of the heteronormative literary canon and its gestures of stimulating whiteness as a political regime.<\/span><\/p>\n

Basic Rhythms.<\/strong> In this workshop we will connect with the basic elements of the Puerto Rican Bomba musical genre, exploring the use of Bomba as a vehicle of expression, a tool for resistance and its impact on the formation of Puerto Rican identity.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
